Neighbours Fence Monstrosity

Hi,
My neighbour has put up this....
The actual wood part is around 2m high and the slats take it up close to 3m.
I have not seen anything quite like it before.
Is there anything I can do?

The timber looks like plywood or chipboard - how weird! Reckon the problem will solve itself after the winter. Please do not quote spam as this enables it to 'live on' once the spam post is removed.

If you quote me, don't forget the capital 'M'

That's their fence, in their garden... you can put up your own pretty fence in your garden.0

I don't mind it, personally I think I would put a trellis on it and grow plants up it. But as someone has said, if that wood ain't treated it won't last very long anyway.0

As it's the neighbours fence, I wouldn't be attaching anything to it or growing anything up it - you could be accused of damaging it in the event it falls down (and it doesn't look very substantial in the first place). If you find it that much of an eyesore, I think you'll have to put your own fence in front of it.0 -

But remember to water the [STRIKE]fence[/STRIKE] plants everyday :A."Real knowledge is to know the extent of one's ignorance" - Confucius0 -

Haha. Method in the madness of course the plant would get all the water they needed..
Would the neighbour mind you attaching a trellis? I am amazed how many people won't talk to their neighbours, being happy in your house and the environment around it is worth so much!0 -
How high is it? 2 mitres is the maximum without Planning consent.

Talk to the neighbour! Why don't people talk.....? Ask if you can attach a trellis and grow plants up it? Ask if you can paint it - eg a nice green or wood stain if you prefer?
Or erect your own fence to hide it.
What was there before? A gap? A fence that fell down? If so, whose was it?0 -
