65% off Sky Family bundle

Options
Is it worth it? They have offered it to me for £11.88 per month rather than £36 per month. I only have internet with them through this websites deal for nothing for a year. Does any one have it and is it good?

  • If you like some of the content and want a PVR then yes it is worth it. I got 65% discount and £100 off any TV bundle for 12 months.

I managed to get a £5 discount on the condition that I signed up for another 12 months - I have been a sky customer for 12 years - so YES, 65% is a good discount !!

i think anyone over 10yrs should be looked after for there loyalty , i have been with them over 20yrs and get the odd reduction on my monthly package if i threaten to leave but they know i wont , perhaps giving me a new telly or tablet instead of someone new signing up would be better

  • I managed to reduce my family bundle, line rental & multiroom charges by £20 pm/£240 yr, would have preferred to have paid £35 for complete package including sports/movies but satisfied nonetheless. Agree that Sky long serving customers should be treated loyally and not have to move providers to enjoy the benefits of new customers!

    How did you do it.
    They didn't give me discount.
And i am paying £55 a month for HD movies, entertainment, internet and phone.
Been with them for 4 years now. :(

Why on earth would they offer discounts or freebies to 'loyal' customers who aren't going to leave regardless of price paid?. You're the cash cows, paying rack rate, who make it possible for the rest of us to enjoy discounts. Cheers.

I was also wondering about this. I have got the same offer and could get Sky basic for £6.60 a month with the free set up and box.

The missus isn't very keen as we already have Freesat, Netflix and Amazon Prime and don't have time to watch it all. She thinks we would end up not wanting to lose it in a year.

I am looking at our aged (and always a bit rubbish) Humax freesat box and wondering when it'll die. If you no longer subscribe to Sky how much functionality do you retain from the PVR?

I've been with Sky for approx. 17 years but have decided this year that enough is enough. I was subscribing to the Family bundle and Sky sports at a cost of approx. £55 per month.
Rightly or wrongly a couple of months ago I purchased an android tv box and have not looked back.
I cancelled sky sports 1st then a month later I downgraded to the original bundle (this package hasn't kicked in yet) and this as reduced my bill down to £20. I have only stayed with Sky to the Sky+ facility because my wife still wants to be able to record certain programmes.

I have today received an email from Sky offering me 10% off any bundle for 10 months as long as I sign up for another 12 month contract.
If I was to enter another 12 month contract I would expect a new box because if my box becomes faulty I would be expected to pay for the engineer to come out

Oh really? I think I'll give it a miss then.

I have had Humax boxes for years. Pretty fed up with them tbh.
