Amazon state parcel was delivered but it wasn't. Please help!

Hi There

Im going through this exact same thing with a laptop delivered to David at number 45 (who does not exsist). Amazon have said they absolutely will not refund or replace until i send them a copy of a police report. My local police station wouldn't report this as a crime and asked me to report it through Action Fraud who take a good few weeks to send you a report. I phone amazon everyday and get the same response back about this police report, any advice?

Are you either David or living at 45?

The police have fobbed you off. Call them back and tell them you want to report a crime.

In theory, the new Amazon delivery hand held devices only allow the courier to deliver the item if they are very close to the address shown on the parcel.

They can overcome this though.

Amazon should know the location of the delivery from their GPS tracking

Provided that there is one near to you, getting goods sent to an Amazon locker is one way of avoiding the pitfalls of Amazon logistics deliveries.
I got fed up of ordering stuff for next day delivery and only knowing that it would come sometime between 7am and 10pm and even then they sometimes failed.

Since using the locker service, I've never had to wait in for a delivery (unless the goods were from an Amazon seller and not Amazon themselves) and there is the added advantage of being able to collect from the locker at a time that is convenient to me.
