Morning ladies, I hope everyone is well.

I have created a new thread for September here. :)
Time may be a great healer, but it's a lousy beautician.... :/

What did you think of this product?

Valm, I'm happy with it. It does help nail varnish dry very quickly first of all. It creates a film over the varnish and sets it very quickly.
It has a thicker texture than normal topcoats etc, so when I first applied it, I did put a bit too much. I have used it both with Essie and non-Essie varnish and it was longer lasting with Essie products.

It did last 5-6 days with Essie without chipping which is a record for me as I do use a keyboard all day and I'm very careless about my mani :P

Also the shine lasts long. I never had gel manicure as I was worried about the impact on my nails but this looks really close to what I have seen at friends.

Overall, in my opinion, it is worth it and negative reviews about it generally come from people who didn't use it with Essie varnish. Hope this helps.

I've got a few UUs to report at the end of the month, yay!

    - Umberto Giannini Frizzi hair mask. WMBA. It's actually very good, but there are still better conditioners/masks. Would buy again on offer if I needed something and it was the best price...
    - Bio Oil. WDBA. Had one in stock, but love this stuff, HG product.
    - Touch of Silver conditioner. WNBA. It's fine, and I have another couple in stock, but nothing special.
    - Ren sample face cream. WNBA. Again, nothing wrong with it, but there are better creams.

And a few ins when I went back to visit my parents over the weekend, as my mum stocks things up for me lol. About 6 sachets, plus one lip balm (as flying with only hand luggage). I only actually had one lip balm, so that's fine - I'll keep one in my bag and one in the bathroom.

One more uu for August but it's a biggie

Elemis Tri Enzyme Resurfacing Facial Wash 400ml - never again will I buy a 400ml bottle of face wash, it has been in the bathroom for ever. WNBA too expensive for what it is and it makes your skin UV sensitive which I don't think can ever be good.

Does anyone else have difficulty in letting go of dinky little pots and jars, I seem to have so many:(, need to be strong and get most of them into the recycling bin:o

I keep a box of them rinsed out in the garage, everyone in my family comes to me for little bottles and containers before 'carry-on luggage only' flights!

    INS

3 of the biggest bath bombs I have ever seen, one vanilla, one coconut and one mango, brought back from a little shop in Wales by my DD in thanks for me housesitting for her.
No buying unnecessary toiletries 2014. Epiphany on 4/4/14 - went into shop to buy 2 items, walked out with 17!

  • I had high hopes for the last few days of September and UUs. But only 2 to report - Sanctuary moisture rich foot cream was a gift but WMB. I put it on last thing at night.
Elemis tranquil touch indulgent bath elixir really not keen on the smell of this, which was odd because I usually really like the scent of Elemis products. now I've read the small print on some of the bottles carefully, I realise I'm a bit limited with which bath oils I can use as some say not suitable during pregnancy. Especially my favourite Aromatherapy Associates ones.
Anyway, I am predicting at least 3 UUs in the first few days of Sept!
  • A few last minute UU here:
L’Occitane Cherry Blossom Hand cream x 30ml, love this, no more stashed, its gone on the Birthday list through:)
Fruity strawberry bath fizzer, did nothing
Remains of a Lush Candy Mountain but had lost all its smell

Chucked out: Elemis exotic island flower body oil has been on the go forwever and really don't like it.
Debt free and busy treating myself:)

No more toiletries/make up until I've used what I've got stashed since Jan 2011, graduated October 2012. Restocked Dec 13..damn those sales
