Company called "Where's My Post"?

I have received a letter from a company called "Where's My Post". It asks me to call a number (I haven't) to arrange delivery of some mail.

They have a website but I cannot see anything else about them online other than that. Seems like a scam. Anybody heard of this please?:money:

One of the other DCA's used to do this in the late 90's/early 2000's. They would send a card to your address saying that they had tried to deliver a parcel. The weird thing was that the card was delivered by Royal Mail, often handwritten and stamped/franked which made a nonsense of claiming to deliver a parcel.

If I were the OP I would either:

    (1) Ignore
    (2) Call up. Ask the agent for the full name and address of the company and send a cease & desist letter.
    (3) Have fun! Unlimited calls on your mobile contract? Call them! On the toilet? Call them! Waiting for Junior to finish football? Call them! On the train? Call them!
    (3) Google PPI Callback and put their number into numerous sites.
    The man without a signature.

Thanks for posting, this will have alerted more people to the underhand way these scum work.
I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.
  • If someone owes money to a company and a debt collection agency has been brought in to collect that money because the debtor won't pay, this may be the only way that they are able to confirm that the details they have been given are correct.

People sometimes do anything and everything possible to avoid paying their debts and if this includes ignoring legitimate letters from debt collection agencies, what else are these companies expected to do to try to collect what is owed?

Would those posters referring to this as underhand and the tactics of scum have the same opinion if money was owed to them?

I've no idea of the OP's situation of if they do owe money, but if they do, surely communicating with the debt collectors is far better than ignoring them and hoping it will just go away.

It's an underhand way for a DCA to find out this information: I thought the OFT had banned this practice by now?
