Nationwide Android banking app

Is anyone else unable to use Nationwides "quick balance" bit of their banking app ?
I used to be able to get a balance, without logging in - no longer - it just sits there, and fails ......

There is a problem and they are working on it.

RBS has said it was due to a cyber attack!!!!!!!!

Sorry for some reason I saw Natwest instead of nationwide in the thread title.

RBS also had issues so it maybe Nationwide were "attacked" as well.

It does work for me but is very very slow over two or so minutes before it displays the balance.

I've been having problems with it for about a month. I have to press every button about 10 times to get it to work. I've contacted them via twitter and haven't been able to tell me whats going on.

Shame really, the app used to be great.

It's working for me but it is slow. I've found that if I hit the power button on my phone to switch the display (not the phone) off while the app is whirring round, and then switch the display straight back on again it jerks the app into life and shows me the quick balance.

I have had a reply to a message sent yesterday to Nationwide - they deny that there is any known problem with the app ...
But there definitely is - isn't there ??
