Wonga on credit file

So at the beginning of the year I got a small payday loan with Wonga.

It's all paid off, (nothing late it anything)

How long will this show in my credit file for?

The info will show in your account for the next 6 years.

  • Out of interest poppy, how does the entry appear on your credit report?
  • Well, its under the 'open accounts'
Quickbridge (Uk) Ltd, the date which and another status saying 'Up to date'

Should this not been under 'closed accounts'? as it was a one off???

It should show as 'settled'. The issue in my view is that Wonga loans show up as 'pay day loans' when in fact you can repay them over several months.

They're actually listed as "Short Term Loans" which would appear to me to be an accurate description whether it was to be paid off in a month or over several.
  • hmmm, Wonga are the only ones with a 30 day slider bar pretty much though? OP how long ago did you settle?
