Cheapest place to buy removal boxes?

I've had a quick google and found a couple of places but just wondering if anyone knew where to get good quality boxes at a cheap price? Ideally looking for one of those removal packs with about 40-60 different size boxes.

A suggestion to save money is to visit the local hospital in your area as they dispose of lots of very strong boxes of various dimensions every day/week that are used for packing all manner of medical supplies.

    Hello, with my upcomming move...
I went to £ land and bought quite a few large zip bags with handles for everything fabric. Clothes, sheets and towels, curtains, teddys .....
Card boxes I only have used a few we got free.
I have a lot of storage plastic boxes around the house.

To answer your question though! last time we moved, many years ago. We hired the large boxes from the removal company.

If you're using a removal firm they will usually supply boxes free - then they collect them when you've unpacked.

Just a thought! Pack stuff in laundry basket and bathroom wash basket.
Use kitchen swing bins, washed out.

I got load of boxes from our local McD', they just told me to dispose of them properly, either at the tip, or bring them back to McD's.

I also got a load of bigger boxes from a packing firm, who gave me about 30 big packing boxes, 4 rolls of tape and about a KM of bubble wrap for £8 for the lot, but think that was my luck to ask a manager who was in a good mood that day :)

+1 on the McDonald's boxes go for the fries box as they are strong and a good size.

If you can catch the nightshift team at a supermarket you can pretty much get as many boxes as you want for much freeness :)

Check Gumtree. Sometimes people who have just moved home advertise free boxes on there.

I bought some boxes from Ebay as a package.., cost £30.., very happy with them and used them for three bed house (lots and lots of books). I eventually gave them away on freecycle (boo hoo). Now I have to move again, did the same, and oh dear, very weak much smaller boxes so not overly happy.

To get boxes in meaningful amounts from supermarkets/freecycle you probably need a car. They are quite heavy and cumbersome.
