OS is probably the most important part...
I think Android is leading my way of thinking instead of IOS
    Followed by storage and camera

I'd disagree on the OS sentiment.

One comment I heard before is the OS is like a fish tank. If you think OS as tank and Apps as fish. You need a tank, and it has to do the job, but you never spend time looking at the fish tank, only at the fish in it..

Its what you can do with this app wise and the specs that matter NOT the OS.

And quite a few of the higher end Android phone are coming without SD slot now. The Samsung S6 and Note 5 do not have a SD card.

Which could explain the slow sales of the new S6.

Samsung's S5 had a SD slot and sales were down, and brands such as OnePlus and Xaiomi are gaining ground, possibly an indication people are more price conscious. OnePlus One does not have a SD card slot either, so its not as simple as a SD card being the driver.

Apple sales were up last year possibly as the iPhone 6 is bigger, so
I suspect its more the fact phones don't generally offer any big "must have" changes, and people are saving money, so rather than going for an expensive upgrade are going SIM only and keeping a handset longer.

I'd take quite a lot of Android handsets over an iPhone any day.

I rate the S5 much higher than the iPhone 6 so if you're considering an S6 i'd go for that vs an iPhone every time.

I would choose the iPhone. From my experience and one close friend, the iPhone is much more reliable, ALOT easier to use being more straight forward to do things on it. iPhone customer service is second to none.

Im quite tech savvy and can learn quite easily how to do things on a computer or phone, my dad has a samsung tablet and its OS (android) just seems so much work and a long way around to do things, I still cant work things out for him.

I do like the look of the M9 and the build quality seems better than the other android OS handsets though.

Android handsets usually have better hardware specs than iPhones, but then the performance specs are incredibly close, often with iPhones being quicker and performing better. iOS is a much more efficient OS than Android and therefore doesnt need the higher specced hardware to operate.

So for me for and against:

    iPhone For:

    build quality
    ease of use
    customer service
    efficient operating system

    against:

    somewhat limited unless your jailbreak
not as easy to sync with windows without using itunes, but alot easier to sync with macs than what androids are with macs

It would be wrong to compare specs of different OS. Fine to compare Android Specs with another Android device though. or iOS with iOS device.

Specs and performance are two different things, and performance is what matters, not the spec. Spec is a good way to sell things on paper. Its how the OS uses the spec to give good performance.

I'm going to make myself unpoplar but I'd go for iPhone everytime! You can't beat the user experience IMO!
    Be happy :j

I have the G4. I bought it because I wanted a powerful phone with a replaceable battery and an SD card slot.

I buy phones unlocked and tend to keep them 3 years. I then go for pay as you go deals on networks. Much cheaper than contract. I use a 0% credit card for the handset which I pay off over 12 months.

I previously had a Samsung S3 which was fine but over the last 12 months was getting very slow.

I quite like that analogy but aren't the specs part of the tank? Also, can't you get more fish for your Android fish tank but if you put the wrong fish in the tank, some fish can damage the tank? :D

Also with an Android tank, you can get things like castles, different sand, seaweed etc whereas with Apple, you only get what you're given. :D

If you are going with Android, a mate of mine with a One Plus reckons the performance is amazing for the price.

On top of that the operating system is the open source CyanogenMod version of Android, so you aren't dependent on mobile phone operators to update when they can be bothered and you are likely to get updates well past the point where Apple will have decided your iPhone is too old to be worth supporting.
