Advice on goods being sent that I didn't order.

Its definitely not unsolicited.
Unsolicited goods are goods that are sent to the recipient with a view to his acquiring them without any previous request from them or on their behalf and basically there hasn't been a mistake (goods sent in error remain property of the sender).
The reason for the unsolicited goods legislation was to stop companies sending out goods with the intention of charging the customer for them later on - despite the customer never having any contact with the company before (ie that was how their business model actually operated). It was not intended to give people "freebies" when a mistake happens. You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0 -
Instead of collecting the camera now, I think that contacting the company concerned first would be the best thing to do. (Do this by e-mail so that you have a record).
They might advise that you should simply leave it so it gets returned to them of they may provide you with a prepaid label so that you can simply stick it on and send it straight back.
A possible problem with collecting it is that you might then have to either make a special trip to drop it off at a PO at a later date or end up waiting in for a courier to collect.0 -

Another possible problem is that by collecting it, OP will be under a duty of care and it might muddy the waters if the item is/gets damaged.
I imagine last thing OP wants is a headache over goods they didnt order so IMO would be best leaving the retailers agents (royal mail presumably) to return the package to them. You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0 -
thanks for all your advice. item is going to be left at the post office for return and have emailed them accordingly.0
