I doubt they are smuggling any of those things in with them, however they may well be bringing beliefs and religious ideologies that are incompatible with life in a Western nation like the UK. The risk of importing islamic extremists is quite real, I imagine.Remember Occam's Razor - the simplest explanation is usually the right one.
