  • My nearest supermarket is Sainsbury and I have a morrisons, Aldi, tesco and B & M within a 2 mile radius .

I do 60/40 in Aldi & Sainsbury with occasional trips to Morrisons & B&M , rarely shop in tesco, just something I don't like about it .

I love Waitrose, purely because of their customer service, quality and values.
What values of Waitrose do you respect? They have a certain image but in practice they are as tawdry as others.

Their profits sharing is pro rata salary rather than per capita. They are filled with multi-buy offers (many false.) They have this new 20% off ten lines jiggery-pokery but have increased prices so that some are now more expensive even after discount.

    I've been Money Tipped!
I mainly shop In Sainsbury as I like their stores (clean, wide aisles) and think their prices are good.

I do also shop in Lidl, Waitrose, M&S, Farm Foods, Iceland and rarelyTesco.

Don't have a Morrisons anywhere nearby. Do have an Asda but can't stand them. Also have an Aldi but not keen on them either. I probably pop in once a year but don't buy much from them

  • Veg - local farm shop (organically grown)
fruit - Fruit stall / Morrisons (supermarket berries are terrible though. Either tasteless or half rotten)
    Fish - Morrisons
Juices - Waitrose (Have a better variety of bottlegreen cordials than other supermarkets)

    Junk food - ASDA

I really need to go into Lidl and Aldi to have a look at their fruit and veg. I hear good things about them
  • Sainsbury's, all of it, 100%.

Waitrose as I find it calmer and less challenging. It's my nearest supermarket. I will also go to Sainsbury if they have cat food or something else on offer. Was in Lidl today but only bought a couple of bottles of wine!
  • In an attempt to keep costs down I do monthly:
1 x Tesco online shop = Heavy stuff, eg tins, 2lt bottles, squash, cat food, washing powder etc plus any storeable offers we use.
1 x Muscle Foods online or Local farm shop= Meat
2 x Aldi/Lidl shops= Fruit, veg, dairy, fresh and frozen stuff
Usually works out at approx. £300 per month, some may say that's expensive for three adults and two cats, but we eat minimal processed food these days (not that there's any substitute for a fish finger sandwich on this earth on occasion!!) and the majority of food is cooked from scratch in advance being one woman on a certain diet and two very hungry men (36 & 16) :)
  • Aldi mostly with topups from Tesc0 and Sainsbos, I don't think much of Morrie's and I really cant stand shopping in The Asder even it is a bit cheaper of the big four.

Aldi for the most, especially for the basics.

Sainburys for the things i like and they only do.

Then it's Iceland.M&s food store and the local's of the major supermarkets for the quick things you always forget.

Don't bother with Tesco and Asda bigger stores. I need to get a bus to visit them, so only go on very rare occasions when I need something I know they only do.

I also must admit I am going in my local ethnic stores more lately. Like some of the different world foods they do.
