Just sold my car on eBay and have cash in hand before departing for Europe - what's likely to be the best deal on getting Euros?
    • Exchange for € at local branch of NatWest - getting a no commission rate as a current account holder?
    • Exhanging £ sterling cash at the destination (airport / bank)?

Flying on Sunday, so no time for any other options - would value advice!

You can pre book currency online, check the currency checker above as it's better to book it online but you might need to pay for it online so you might need to put it online too

Both of those options are bad choices. Don't be enticed by "no commission" - it's the exchange rate that you need to compare, choose the closest you can get to the mid-market rate on XE.com. If your car sold for a sizeable sum and you want to convert it all, you could well negotiate a better rate in-store in the high street, where the likes of Thomas Cook will usually give you the on-line rate even if you just walk in and appear a bit savvy about rates. Have some ID ready if you do have a few thousand to change.
