Student Loan - Savings threshold

I have a student loan that was taken out in 2000 and there's still a lot left to pay.
I'm going to be moving abroad without definite employment in the next couple of months. I've been on the SLC website and there is a form I need to fill out. I need to provide evidence of savings that I will be living from. I'm just wondering if anyone knows what sort of criteria the SLC has for this? I don't want to state £x and then have to repay monthly as then I'll be really against the clock to find employment.
Appreciate it if anyone can shed some light.
Thanks

Sounds like you're asking us whether it's OK for you to lie to SLC about what savings you have - I'm out.0

I didn't mean to phrase it that way, note that I'm informing them. I'm just wondering if anyone has any experience of this as there isn't much online. i.e, are they fair?0
