3. He signed away all rights to stay. you can not sign away certain rights, it's impossible, the OP has to e given correct notice and can have a judge extend that time

You do not know if the parents wanted them there or not, likewise they had 20+years to do something about it, instead of guessing the OP's situation, why not try and offer helpful advice.

Forums like this will always throw up all sorts of responses: helpful, rude, accurate, irrelevant, knowlegeable, misleading, etc

It is best to focus on the useful ones, provide additional information to build on the useful comments, and ignore the others.....

If you force them to take you to court and get an eviction order this does have one benefit. The council will not be able to claim that you are "intentionally homeless".

No, it is because you have an illness, if I may be so bold. You are clearly not just a selfish person, you have struggled with your mental health which is not uncommon. Some people can't or won't understand that. My brother has suffered from depression and is in similar circumstances to you. You are not a disgrace at all. You sound like a thoughtful person, a deep thinker, and ultimately a survivor. You still want what is best for your mum, your posts are not 'me me me', and you are trying to do your best.

Please contact Shelter and speak to them about your previous depression and health issues as they have been fantastic with my brother and he now has his own home. It's not bad either,he has a ground floor flat and has been able to get back to work. It's great you have friends around you to help and support you. If you don't claim benefits, please consider applying for them now and getting your ducks in a row. I hope it all works out for you.
