We got our setanta box set up on friday, call was answered really quickly, we were told to leave box on ch5 for up to 2 hours then turn to ch34 and it worked. Sorry to hear you've had trouble, but don't worry, the Newcastle/Villa game was boring!0

There is no doubt that Setanta are having serious problems with delivery of their "service". I finally got a picture for around 10 mins today and it froze and cut off just before the 5.15 game kicked off. My brother in law ( in a different part of Scotland ) had the same experience and it froze at exactly the same moment, on the goalie. I have spent a fortune in calls today with as a previous poster has stated, not even being queued .
:mad: I agree, have spent 2 nightmare days and 30+ calls trying to get through, have had signal sent out 9 times!! Got a picture at 4.40pm today HURRAH, but has same experience as you and picture froze on Goalie. Have been trying to get through to them all night, God knows how much my phone bill will be! Thinking about unsubscribing if i can get through to anyone - whole family is totally disgusted!!0 -

Well this thread has certainly put an end to my thoughts of subsrcibing. Tried to contact them to tell them so but no email and no "proper" 'phone number. Seems all these subscription services are tarred with the same brush.0

I subscribed to Setanta last week without any initial problems. However it was down from Friday am to Saturday pm. I checked that the card was inserted properly and that all the cables were secure but this didn't make any difference. I then tried the old trick of switching the Freeview box off, waiting 20 seconds then turning it back on again. Voila! Newcastle/Villa in full, glorious colour.0

Well my experience mirrors the above.
It's never worked, I have spent too much time (and money on a 0871 line) cuminating in a 30 minute call on Sunday.
So tomorrow, I'm cancelling the agreement, writing to the MD at their registered address and asking for full refund + my telephone costs as they are in breach of contract.

Has anyone else bought the setanta box from tesco with first month included ? Setanta immediately charged me for the first month No surprise there really ! . Not sure who to chase as setanta won't answer and tesco just say it's a supplier issue. Not sure on that as it was them that sold me the package ie box with free connection and 1 month included ?0

We've sent back our card asking for a full refund.. and they've had the cheek to take a £10 installation fee they didn't tell us about plus 2 months worth of payments all in the space of 2 days when we've not even had a glimmer of a signal!!!
