Had a spendy day - went to the garden centre and bought 2 rhubarb plants, a blueberry plant and a couple of other bits. Investing in the future!! I get such pleasure growing my own food.
Spent part of the afternoon washing, slicing and portioning up runner beans that I have grown. I'm sure I have a years supply for my hubby. Also picked courgettes, sage, tomatoes and raspberries used in both my lunch and our dinner. Had blueberries in my porridge that I had grown and frozen last month.
Repotted my baby strawberry plants that I have grown from the plants that I had bought at the beginning of the season. Looking forward to a bumper crop next year. Gave a friend 8 baby strawberry plants.

Eerrrrmmm...scooze my asking, but has anyone seen the third best cauldron with the sticky bottom...sure I left it on the heat *looks round bewildered, absently scratching head* Only...*lifts various items to look inside various other items*...only I brought the team's boxes back to give 'em a boil--with the weather being so clammy & all...

IEEEEEGGORRRRRRRRR? Have you seen it? You haven't made any milky puddings have you? *goes out kitchen door toward flight deck*

    Morning all

NSD 12 yesterday. I had a great holiday and have about 5 euros left over:).
  • Yeah! Hit my target with 7NSDs in the bag. There's 8 days left in this month so I'm going to try and get 3 more NSDs.

Chef, when you have finished stewing your "special" mushrooms for tonight's duel party, BigMumma wants her cauldron back.

No NSD yesterday as treated friends to a meal out in return for them helping us when we needed it. Lovely Indian meal, cost an arm and a leg but these things are once in a blue moon so I don't mind. Today I will be mostly washing bedlinen and loafing in the garden in the sunshine so another NSD should be in the Cauldron of Doom later.

And as promised here is NSD number 12 for the Cauldron of Doom!

Mrs Doyle, is everyone here ready for the duel? I hope Chef is on standby with the special scrambled egg and mushrooms on toast, we will all be starving afterwards.....No, don't go giving those gannets from Booger Off magazine any more cups of tea, they'll end up spending the evening running to the loo and back, and once again marmite forgot to pick up toilet rolls with the shopping and we are down to our last half roll.......besides, if they spend all evening getting rid of your endless cups of tea, they will miss the chance to photograph me in my new duel party frock, the one with the little skull and crossbones trim around the hem....

.....Oh very nice, Igor, lovely duelling trousers there, and plenty of room in case you want to wear one of Hubert's nappies underneath......just need Mr Scroggins to turn up then we can get started.....

  • marmite limps in,looking a tad under the weather, with purple glitter in her hair, smudged eye makeup and with her best silver lame hotpants looking a bit ripped and muddy. One of her Jimmy Choo Spongebobs platforms has lost it's pompoms and she is carrying the remains of one of last years sprouts mini quiches....

Don't blame me,blame the evil voles. They took me on a bender, and I spent the night cuddling a puddle somewhere in saf Lundun. If you think I look bad,you should see the voles.....

    Ok,let's get this duel underway.....
