    NSD number12 .

Worked from home this morning but had to stop - came over feeling rough again. Spent the afternoon of the couch again. (Have urine infection).
Was going to go out for a cheap meal (Budgeted for) with hubby but didn't feel up to it so he went and got a large fish and chips which we shared (£1.90 cheaper than buying a meal each and cheaper than our meal out would have been).

And here is NSD number 11 to join the party!

All quiet at Ennessdee Towers today, I told Chef that chicken he served up yesterday was a bit iffy, but did he listen? Did he heck! marmite is lying on the chaise longue in her room, wearing her chiffon robe and partaking of a vintage kale vodka.......Mrs Doyle is brewing up supplies of her extra strong tea (guaranteed to kill all known viruses)......Helga is giving the voles their monthly bath.......Igor is so stricken with the lurgy he hardly has the strength to wax his knees.......other NSD gang members are just lying around groaning.......thank goodness I decided to go veggie for the day and have beans on toast!

Wait a minute.....Igor, marmite is of the herbivorous persuasion, is she not? I remember now, she had turnip risotto...In that case, why is she doing the dying swan act? Unless.....someone nobbled the turnips!!!!! This has got to be a case for Inspector Swindle of the Yard!

  • I heard that The Dear Inspector was still on extended sick leave following the case of The Missing Hoffmeister and The Big Trudie hooha....

Any word on The Hoffmeister Nargle?
    Don't cry,you'll get over it....

Igor has offered to pose for you with his chest wig,but The Hoffmeister doesn't really have the same rugged charm as our Igor, does he?

The turnip risotto was lovely.I even had seconds. :D

I think it was the tapioca pudding that did it for me....

I said to Igor "that tapioca pudding looks curdled", didn't I, Igor?

I still think our dinner last night was nobbled by person or persons unknown...And who do we know has a degree in the Nobbling Arts?

Igor obviously took it as a compliment.....

    Ohhhh,you don't mean,nnnnooooooooooooo,the arch bounder to end all bounders.Scroggins???????????????

    What can this mean?

A duel to the death between Igor and Scroggins?

I wonder if Booger Off would be interested. The coffers are empty and I bet they would offer a pretty penny.... we've run out of Hubert's extra strong donkey nappies.

    'mass panic'

We'll throw in Cheffie too and get him to make a few pre duel omelettes and some fried mushrooms .that should keep them happy.

Do we have any of that extrastrong beer left...what was it called again Vile Toadscratcher?
Throw in a few crates and Bob's your uncle.
  • Spent nothing yesterday and even made 5$ by selling a few bits and pieces so NSD 6[/COLOR] is in the bag.
Hopeful for today too as I'm in a Girl Scout training day until late afternoon and out for dinner at a friends tonight.
    Have a great weekend.

I am not sure I approve of violent acts such as duels, but we will never get peace here at Ennessdee Towers until this business between Igor and Bert Scroggins is sorted.

I see Tatjiana the floozy who stood up Igor at the altar to run off with Scroggins has now gone back to her own country, taking Igor's sister Big Trudie with her. It seems the two "ladies" have fallen in love, having both been cheated on by Scroggins, and they are having a girlie wedding in Paris before setting up home in some Eastern European village. Needless to say, Igor will not be attending the wedding, having disowned Trudie.

So, just the matter of Scroggins to deal with......Mrs Doyle is serving up pre-duel chocolate muffins, with a special helping of Ex-Lax in Scroggins' s muffins. Booger Off magazine are on standby to cover the event. Chef has got a special batch of mushrooms to serve with the omelettes, ask no questions, but they are really special mushrooms, if you know what I mean....

Igor thinks the aim is to kill Scroggins in the duel, but we are substituting the bullets in the guns for ones containing itching powder. Well we can't have blood on Mrs Doyle's nice clean carpets, can we?
