Secondhand Gas Bottle

Hi all,

Looking to buy a small Calor Gas bottle to take camping....but they're expensive, £40 just for the empty bottle!

Can get an empty one off ebay for £10, then exchange it for a full one....question is, when I exchange it do I need a copy of the agreement with Calor (which I wouldn't have as just buying the empty bottle) ?

I've exchanged mine at my local shop, local garage and also the garden centre. I've never been asked for a copy of the agreement. To be honest, I'm not even sure where it is anymore!

People can't legally sell them as they are still the property of Calor or Flogas or whoever else, so not theirs to sell. If you can get one though (which obviously everyone can!), there's no problem at all exchanging an empty for a full one - you don't need any paperwork to go with it.

I gave one away on Freecycle and i've seen others both giving and wanting them.
