What do you think Very have done wrong? The OP paid late and Very reported it. What exactly are you expecting the OP to say when they 'brief against them at every opportunity'. Ooo you'd better avoid Very - they report factual information to credit agencies.

Yes lots of people have problems with Very. All of which could be avoided. In most cases by opening and reading their post.

I'd go for something like this:

Very are a bunch of scum who will blacklist you for a single, trivial oversight. They are totally inflexible, skulking behind the "it's the truth so we have to report it" lie. They deliberately try to confuse people with complicated buy-now-pay-later schemes that don't include postage and would appear to be designed to catch you out. Don't touch them with a bargepole, and if you have an account with them, cancel it immediately.

That about covers it in summary, but I'm open to any further suggestions as to how one might brief against them. Of course the above is just my opinion.

My wife has a very account and logs in same day every month to make her payment. Last month when she logged it her account showed no payment due......

She logged in a few days later and it then showed the payment due, which she paid, however her credit file shows a late payment.....

I've just emailed them complaining of this and await a reply, although I'm not hopeful...

Id 'very' much like her to tell the to shove it if they dont play ball....this one as far as we are concerned is there fault.

Very statements are produced every 4 weeks, not every calendar month so if your wife logs in on the same day every month then she has probably missed a whole statement period hence the late payment...

So just remind me, can you set up a DD based on four week cycle as opposed to a calendar month cycle? (genuine question, not sarcasm :rotfl:)

I don't know as I don't work for Very or pay by dd but after checking my account their payment options for dd are for either min payment, take 3 or the total balance so it would appear it is set up for paying by the statement cycle ie 4 weekly. But as I'm sure you're aware you don't set up a dd, the company you're paying do so better to ask them not me.

The person I was replying to said his wife logged in and paid online as I imagine a lot of people do after receiving either a postal statement or an email and text reminder, not remotely complicated...

What's this blacklist then? News to me.

Talk about hyperbole. If the oversights are so trivial and singular they'll be recognised as such. Lenders see the details, don't they? Very doesn't tell anyone who they should or shouldn't lend to.

My radical top secret oh so clever tip for dealing with Very? Open, read and pay your bills.
