Thanks Kitten, the next milestone (under 12k) is only £110 away so I'm ebaying like mad!! I'll get there soon enough though
I completely agree about having enough and enjoying what you have.
ABA, That's the point I have gotten to. My job is fairly well paid but when I stop and calm down I realise I actually really enjoy it, so I'm concentrating on that for now. I've spent a long time thinking that when I'm DF I can step down from management but the truth is am good at it and I like it, I just need to learn to reduce my stress levels. I've found that recently, nothing brings me more pleasure than PADing so I am spending more money doing that than ever before - I enjoy it so I don't care how sad people tell me that makes me.
My Mom has been discharged and is sleeping a lot. I've been at a conference so not made it over to see her since she went home but I've been keeping in touch. Dad is eagerly awaiting the written offer so he can resign.
Hope all is well

So I had a facebook sale last night and as a result todays PAD has tipped me under 13K....to £12995 to be precise
For some reason this was a huge milestone for me....probably because for a number of years I hovered just above the 13K mark in terms of overall debt before I had my health problems and blew budgets out of the water. Psychologically this is a big one, which I'm hoping keeps spurring me on for a while
So pleased and excited!! Must not blow budget celebrating....:j PAID VERY, Barclaycard x3, Vanquis, Natwest, O/D, Tesco & MBNA x2 PAID :j LBM 24/07/15 - Original Debt: £0/31010.23 (100% paid)

Congratulations on getting under £13k! :T :j :T
I will be dead on £12k with my next loan payment and the thought of it is motivating me to try to pay it back faster — though I need to prioritise saving for a while first. I can only imagine how it will feel to get under £10k and be in 4 figures instead of 5, but that's a long way off...Rainy day fund — 210/1000 Emergency fund — 1019/1500
Loan — 424/19,224 = 2.2% Fun fund: 1/100 Credit card balance — 00 -
Thank you! That's brilliant ABA, it does give you a kick up the backside when you reach a target doesn't it.
I'm with you though - I know I will get to 4 figures but I can't quite picture it so I keep trying to imagine, which in turn makes me more impatient!
I have a small EF now although it's a secret one and I haven't mentioned it on here because I'm scared acknowleding it will bring it to the forefront of my mind and make me want to PAD itonly £300 in it so far but it's creeping up slowly and I feel like I'm actually getting control of my life and spending

I wrote out a huge update and accidentally closed the browser!
My god daughter and her mom came round on Saturday and she's growing far too fast! She's almost 10 months old and pulling herself up on things now so it won't be long before she's walking. Such a happy baby - she absolutely loves OH and kept commando crawling over to where he was sat and pulling herself up to smile at him. So cute!
Although this weekend has been a mixed bag it's been lovely to work together on the house, making decisions and doing tasks together like painting the skirting and putting a TV bracket up - I felt closer to OH than I have in ages, and we had such a giggle
Natwest loan is reducing VERY slowly! This weeks ebay and facebook sales are going on decorative touches for the lounge like cushions before the new sofas arrive next week (DFS have been fab - due 9th July, but are due in store on 21st June now so will be delivered on 22nd or 23rd(I shouldn't speak too soon really, as they haven't arrived yet! Fingers crossed anyway)
My Mom is a bit better and I have the appointment with the surgeon tonight to discuss the operation and what options I have so healthwise hopefully we are both on the right track. I've been doing a lot of research into this op - it's called a fundoplication and there are a few different methods of doing it - the most common in the UK seems to be one called a Nissen but this is a 360 degree one which means I'll likely never be able to vomit or burp and will suffer from excessive bloating for quite a while. Not to mention the oesophagus is reduced so swallowing is difficult. I've found a different one called a toupet which is only 270 degree so I'm hoping this will be an option for me.
I've managed to wangle a phone upgrade with no increase in contract cost (I'm on pay monthly sim only, £18 a month) so I'm going to sell the new one when it arrivesextra PADing, yay!!
In other news this month has been a long and difficult one money wise - some little things have cropped up during decorating (whole walls of paint falling off anyone?!) which has increased spending but hopefully we will be back on track next month. No credit spending, just the house account looking increasingly unhealthy with payday over a week away :j PAID VERY, Barclaycard x3, Vanquis, Natwest, O/D, Tesco & MBNA x2 PAID :j LBM 24/07/15 - Original Debt: £0/31010.23 (100% paid)

I saw the surgeon last night and officially signed my consent to surgery for a full fundoplication. It became increasingly obvious as he gave me my detailed results that a partial wasn't going to be an option. Apparently the reading they take during the test should be less than 15 and mine is currently 133
Not looking forward to having a reduced oesophagus - no bread or steak for quite a while afterwards  a liquid/soft diet for 6 weeks after the op....a waiting list of 3-4 months and I have to lose a minimum of 10 kilos in the meantime or they won't do the op  as of Monday I am stringently dieting (payday isn't until next week, and I need to completely re-stock with healthy foods - that and we are away visiting family at the weekend - excuses already!!)
eBay sales going well and I've now purchased all the cushions, a throw, a shelving unit (and some fake tulipswho knew yellow accessories were so difficult to find?!) with no credit spend, just need them to arrive now so I can get the lounge looking lovely

I'm a little torn today as my Dad has said he will be paying me back some money I lent to him a few weeks ago. This initially came out of my secret EF but I've saved the amount back in there already and I really want to pay this off the Natwest loan. It will take me under the next milestone barrier for that particular debt and I really want to see that but don't know if I'm just getting overly excitable and should put it back into EF....
All the stuff for the lounge has arrived today and I can't wait to put it all up and see the almost finished product. My friends gave me a coffee table that I need to sand down and paint so that and the actual sofas will be the final touches!
I know I mentioned a while ago about OHs best friend coming to stay for a extended period of time. Well it's really happening. He arrives next Tuesday and I'm pleased that OH will have a friend around but the thought of our space not being just ours anymore makes me want to cry. It's just not a big enough space for 3 adults to live completely separate lives.
Part of me is hoping that the minute my coil comes out next year I get pregnant so I can insist that he move out so I can sort a nursery. Unlikely but not impossible...:j PAID VERY, Barclaycard x3, Vanquis, Natwest, O/D, Tesco & MBNA x2 PAID :j LBM 24/07/15 - Original Debt: £0/31010.23 (100% paid)
