calling mobiles from landline
My landline is with plusnet, I've been using the 0844 access numbers to call mobiles cheaply (1p/min) over the last few months, but the new regulations have broken this now. Using the same service now costs about 11p/min or the normal plusnet charge is 13p/min.
I've seen the 18185 service but this is still 10p/min or 6p/min at weekends.
Are there any cheaper alternatives?
Thanks

As the termination rate for calls to mobile numbers continues to plummet (from 1 May 2015, it's capped at 0.68p per minute) we can't be far off the point where landline providers routinely offer inclusive calls to mobile numbers. Some have already started to do so.0

Well, I look forward to that day, but could anyone offer any advice on my best options at the moment?0

Plusnet do a monthly bolt on ( 100 minutes to UK Mobiles £3) =3p a minute.
Or if you have inclusive minutes look at someone likehttps://www.localphone.com/call/united_kingdom
From 1p a minute if you purchase bundle.
Or 1.8p a minute if you prepay.
They allocate you 01/02/03 numbers pointed direct at the mobile numbers your calling so unlike 084/7 access numbers you dont pay if they dont answer.
No contracts,set up fees,etc etc
If you dont have inclusive minutes you can use call back.
https://www.localphone.com/services/callback
They call both you and your contact so you’ll pay the low rates for both parts of the call. 1.8 +0.5 =2.3p0 -
Thank you.0

If you have, or can get a cheap 3G handset that will work on Three and a Three 3-2-1 PAYG sim, or any unlocked mobile phone and a Delight Mobile PAYG sim and get all mobile calls for 3p per minute.====0
