Vodafone won't close account

Have had nothing but problems with Vodafone throughout the duration of my contract with them. They have constantly overcharged and failed to deliver on their promises of refunding money that I overpaid. My contract ended in May and I was straight on the phone to cancel. I was given a pac code and told my contract would end as soon as I used it. I used it straight away. However, Vodafone are still billing me. I contacted them after last months bill and was told that there had been a mistake and my account was not closed (even though my number has transferred to another network and I can no longer access my online account) but that they would close it immediately. Today, I have received another bill so it seems that they have still not closed the account. I am sick of wasting my time dealing with a company who cannot deal with a simple request, but obviously don't want a mark on my credit file due to their mistakes.

Follow the advice given over and over on the Vodafone complaints thread as to how to contact the Web Relations Team. Otherwise it will escalate forever.0 -

There is a giant thread helpfully called "Vodafone Complaints" that you appear to have missed. Take the advice in that thread and contact a forum rep (unless you posted just to vent and don't actually want help?).
If you can't find the thread, here's one of the many posts in it:Vodafone_company_representative wrote: »Hi,

Is there a similar form for EE, I am having similar problems and coincidentally live in Mid Wales with poor signal strength and slow broadband?
Thanks, Brian.0 -
No. They compete with Vodafone for the worse company in the UK prize. With them, make a formal complaint, wait 8 weeks and then go to CISAS unless they have resolved it or sent a letter of deadlock (highly unlikely in my experience). That is, if they have broken the t&c.0

Thanks, I broke the golden rule of never agreeing to a deal when phoned by a provider and I should have done the research on this site. Cannot find the icon for smacking your own backside and jumping out of window!0
