It may not be a legal copy.

Or it could be that there are now so many copies of Office on eBay that the supply has outstripped the demand - so there's a glut and the price reflects it.

What's the seller's profile like? Want to post a link to the specific item and we'll take a look.

So someone is offering this product for a fiver when the normal price is nearer a couple of hundred pounds.

I'd say that if you don't mind illegal/pirated software on your machine. Make an offer. Personally I wouldn't touch it.

Ebay says theres nothing they can do to stop it. BULL!

If they ban these people Ebay looses money. Thats why they cant do it.

Don't buy it..it will definitely be an illegal copy. I bought the same kind of thing back in February (Office 2003 pro) from a Power Seller with 100% feedback - and when disc arrived it turned out to be a cdr pirate copy  , ok I was a bit "green" to ebay then..but I paid £30 and thought I was getting a bargain. The seller did refund me however and I reported his/her listings to ebay. Ebay did NOTHING and the seller is still selling the exact same items, as has been mentioned above Ebay don't care  .

You have to watch ebay now. Ebay can promote illegal stuff and nothing gets done but the police can turn up at your house and find an illegal copy and throw the book at you.

To solve a problem you need to look at the source. These people should be banned and given a criminal record. Ebay even has there address's so it makes a job for the police childs-play.
