How u getting on?. Any sign of a completion date?
  • hey, we exchanged last week but because its new build its "on notice"

they still say its end of august. we managed to go in and have a look when we visited last friday, the builders were still inside and invited us in! it was nice to look around and see the place, the kitchen units had just been put in, they looked amazing.

they said they were working to get all electrics on and working by 14th august, so a move in date for 28th august seemed fine... not too worried...

Will be interested to hear when you finally move in. Our developer has started drylining this week with a view to moving to the second fix. Still on for end of September.

First level of breeze blocks was done and they were bricking around them when I went to visit my plot last week. Was nice to see it and stand in what will be my garden, but not due to be done until Dec 31st!

They had done about half of the ground floor bricks when I visited mine last week. Due to be completed before xmas so will be interesting to see if it happens!

Had a call from the developer yesterday and since I last posted- they have now completed all the 1st floor - was adding the external wall tiles and the roof trusses are being developed on Friday!

The detached garage is also fully built which when we last popped by was at foundation stage!

The sales lady said they are well ahead of schedule and might be looking at November now!
  • Its crazy how fast houses can be built, our house was still at timberframe stages 5 weeks ago!

Now all the exterior is done and they are laying the kitchen floor tiles and bathroom tiling down.

we have 3 weeks until completion 28th August, it doesnt seem like it will be ready on time with everything left to do (outside parking spaces not been built yet and our garden is still rubble) but they assure us it will be ... eg. it only takes a day to fit carpet in the whole house apparently !

How you all getting on? Our house is now fixed for 30th September. Only 10 days to go and although house is finished - the outside still needs quite a bit of work doing...
  • I'm curious to see how everyone got on with their houses and wether they were done on time? My house was apparently build complete yesterday, so we took a drive up last night and it was still barricaded off! I'm not sure if this is because we are shared ownership buyers, and the housing association is not going out to the property until next week. Just want to get into the house now, but they said they need to "register the property" first. Fed up!
