Limits for 0% purchase cards

My wife and I are in the process of buying a home which we'd like to do some basic redecorating/improvement in (mostly painting, probably new floor, possibly new carpets). We'll have just over 10k in savings set aside for doing this.
I'm considering opening a 0% purchase CC once we have keys and using that for as much of the work as possible. 0% periods seem to be good at the moment and I could keep as much of the cash in a savings account as possible, both as a bit of extra safety and it'll earn a little bit of interest. It'll be fully repaid within the 2 years (either with the money from savings or other capital I'm due to receive).
We have good credit histories: I have a few Amex cards, a Nationwide Select CC for fx transactions and an HSBC premier CC as part of my HSBC account, all are paid in full each month. Limits currently range from 9k to 25k.
I was wondering if any of the 0% card issuers had soft search tools that would estimate your limit as part of the application, or there was any general guidance on the limits offered by MBNA vs Virgin vs Tesco etc.
Thanks!

Pretty much just read the page below, has a link to the free MSE eligability calculator that'll probably give you some idea.

In my experience MBNA offer very generous limits, Tesco is slightly above average and I have no experience with Virgin and their limits as of yet.I'm a Board Guide on the Credit Cards, Loans, Credit Files & Ratings boards. I'm a volunteer to help the boards run smoothly, and I can move and merge threads there. Any views are mine and not the official line of moneysavingexpert.com0

OH recently applied for a Lloyds 0%. Salary of c. £35k, highest existing limit is around £7k with Halifax, and was offered £4k from Lloyds.
MBNA regularly offer me 0% offers, and they are by far my highest limit. I have £8k limit with them, next highest is £4k with Halifax.0 -
MBNA and Barclays commonly give the highest limit multipliers.0

I have 20k limits with both MBNA and Barclaycard.0
