Easyjet Baggage Rules & transporting valuables

Hi
I know that Easyjet rules specify that you can only take on board one appropriately sized piece of hand luggage unless you pay for extra.
This may be a daft question but where do people carry their passports, currency, cards etc ? When we go on holiday I normally keep hold of all our passports etc in my handbag but if I can't carry a handbag alongside my hand luggage just trying to decide whether to pay for an additional suitcase.
We're a family of four so we were planning to take a small suitcase each. We're staying in a house with a washing machine so we really don't need to take alot with us.
However I don't fancy putting passports cash etc into the suitcase as it's not always easy to get to it quickly & I'd worry about it getting stolen or lost. I realise we can put things in pockets but again I worry about security. I realise we can carry on a duty free bag but not really appropriate for passports.
Do Easyjet let you wear a money belt ?
Cheers
Jen

You can't pay specifically for extra hand luggage on easyJet, but if you buy an upfront or extra legroom seat, or are an easyJet Plus customer, you are allowed a second, smaller piece (like a handbag).

Otherwise, to comply with their rules your handbag would need to go inside the 1 piece of cabin baggage. People have been known to get away with a handbag as well, but lots don't and you wouldn't want to count on it.

I'd say they they are pretty unlikely to count a moneybelt or normal sized bumbag as a piece of hand luggage if you are wearing it.

I usually carry a small handbag that I jam into the suitcase to board the plane. Once on board, out it comes again and its placed under the seat. Nothing is said

If its too big to get into the suitcase I just buy something from the duty free and ask for a large carrier, they are usually very obliging
