Yes, he is buying from three of us, all slightly related items and is paying and leaving positive feedback.

I;m tempted to ask him why, but what on earth could I say that didn't make me sound like a weird seller?

    Soo

Well the fact that he is bidding on other sellers auctions is reassuring (ref my pm) :)

Buyers can be funny, however, we are all creatures of habit, and assuming the goods are all related, it is likely the buyer is just comfy buying from folk they have dealt with before, rather than saving a few pence and dealing with the unknown. :)

Thanks for the PM Tojo-Ralph, I have responded.

I've just checked my buyer again and he is now bidding on others peoples auctions as well, so it does look a bit better.

As for saving a few pence, yep, i'm cheap <g> and he rarely goes above opening price. I'm convinced now he is buying stock for a shop, as it would make sense looking at some of the odds and ends he has bought. Maybe he thinks my prices are cheap enough to turn a profit on if he markets them differently?

    Thanks for the suggestions

    CHANGING PREFERANCES

GO into your ebay page , go down on the left hand side to MY ACCOUNT - EBAY PREFERANCES. GO down to BUYER REQUIREMENTS and you can change the following by clicking the change button on right -

    Buyer requirements
    s.gif
    Block buyers who:

    s.gif
Are registered in countries to which I don't ship
Have a feedback score of -1 or lower
Are currently winning or have bought 4 of my items in the last 10 days and have a feedback score of 5 or lower
Have received 2 Unpaid Item strikes in the last 30 days
    Don't have a PayPal account

It is not a perfect solution, more a bit of damage limitation. Ebay should really have the option to block bidders with a certain amount of feedback, but we wont hold our breath.

Report him to ebay for each and every violation. Report him for malicious bidding, report him for bad contact details and report him again tomorrow and the day after that until ebay respond.

After 7 days if ebay haven't done anything go through the NPB process anyway but whatever you do keep on at ebay.

It took about two and a half weeks to resolve my problem, but now he has left you neg feedback it is obvious that he is a malicious bidder and will actually help your case.

Do not bother leaving neg feedback in return. Your aim is to get his feedback removed entirely and neg feedback won't hurt him as he is using a throw away account.

    Hi There

Thanks for the reply so quickly! I havent left negative for him as this wont achieve anything!

I have contacted ebay with all 24 items numbers he has left negative feedback and stating that I had emailed ebay yesterday with my concerns as his contact info was false!! I have also pointed out this his negative feedback in unjustified and malicious as he has stated that"items not recived and emails blocked!!", how could he of recieved them when they only finished late yesterday and last post is 6pm!!

I have been able to change all personal preferances and luckily as they are all from one ebayer they only officially count as one negative not 24

I know who this guy is and am worried he will do it again under another name, but have set up personal prefs as:

Are registered in countries to which I don't ship

Have a feedback score of -1 or lower

Are currently winning or have bought 4 of my items in the last 10 days and have a feedback score of 5 or lower

Have received 2 Unpaid Item strikes in the last 30 days

I have also blocked him! I think he has tried to bid on further items today and got p**ed off when he realised I had blocked him :p

    Anything else I can do?????

I don't think there is anything else you can do. Unfortunately it sounds like this man knows how to play the system. However, by playing stupid games with you he will hav elost any chance of getting back onto ebay legitimately.

Thinking of you though penny-pincher and I know how upsetting all this can be.

Would it make sense if you sold him a bulk 'lot' to guarantee yourself profit and him a good deal/discount? Just if this is viable then maybe you could email him and say something like:
    Dear buyer,

Thank-you for your recent purchases. It has come to my attention that you have been the winning bidder on a few of my items recently. As you are aware I stock a selection of **** items, and if these are things that you are interested in I would be prepared to offer the items that you require regularly at a bulk purchase discount.

    Soolin ;)

    Just a thought?

I have to say this sounds a bit worrying to me, why would some one want EVERYTHING of yours  how many things is it for?

Have you considered maybe emailing the person, saying something like you will give them a discount on postage as they are buying so much, and see if they actually respond?

I hope it turns out they are a genuine bidder. I have had so many problems with fake bidders, cost me alot of money with listing fee's - esp as some of them weer for cars that cost £10 to list!
