Ex-partner didn't pay bills

just my name...
I suspect they've got my name from the "linked addressed" on my credit file. I bought her a car on finance and put her address down. That's why we had to go to court to settle the amount she owed me. I got some money back but she left before I could finish the job off. I know she tried to play a lot of funny games as pay back for my winning the court case. Yes I made a stupid mistake and here it comes to bite me in the !!!!. Lesson for everyone is don't trust anyone!
All my payments/accounts/personal data are at my parents address where I live. I've lived at my current parents address for 12 years - my credit file shows this.
All her bank accounts (I can't prove this due to data protection but I have her account number and sort code), old employer details (I'll e-mail the debt company her old place of work to contact), even a copy of her old car insurance.0 -
Ok Update....
Typed out an e-mail not admitting anything, but saying it was my ex-partner.
Printed off a letter from my local council (electoral roll) - just like they asked on the phone, ----also select pages of my credit report, my driving licence - all proof I've never lived with my ex and that i lived with my parents during this period.
I also attached her car insurance, her bank account/sort code, copy of the CCJ in her name, and her old employers, and her current Australian address - for them to "investigate" who really did live here.
There's a small possibility if SSE contacted me directly and actually supplied a bill detailing what my ex used I might have just paid up, but I didn't ask for it to be passed onto a debt collector who feels they can add a £170 admin charge!0 -

True - maybe I should have put that!
This now presents another problem! Both our surnames are the same
We weren't married - just a very very popular name!0 -
So far, there is still no answer to the question 'whose name appears on the bill?' - is it yours, is it hers, is it both? If the debt collector cannot provide an answer, then you are in the clear.True - maybe I should have put that!

Whatever bill they produce it will be aimed at the OP and no one else. The OP will then have to make a claim against his ex unless he can come up with cast iron proof of his ex exchanging her name for his on the account without his permission.0

It is up to the supplier to prove that the OP is liable on the balance of probability. The OP does not need "cast iron" proof. He just needs to show that on the balance of probability he is not liable. And he only needs to convince a court not the supplier or their debt collectors. If he was feeling unhelpful he could do nothing until they started legal action against him.
If I was the OP I would not be asking to see any bills since his argument is they are none of his business.0
