Indeed. Funny thing is the drivers side tyres were easy but the other side were the ones that were stuck. Even though all put on by same fitter last time.

Not that odd. That's why many commercial vehicles have a left hand thread on the driver's (RH) side.

Well after a good test drive (160 mile round trip to Fountain's Abbey) I'm quite pleased.

I got Goodyear Efficient grip, incredibly quiet compared to old tyres. Whisper quiet. Had radio several volume levels lower than previously.

Also seen a boost of 3-4 mpg over similar run. Will see if that keeps up.

The thicker tyres may be a bit more comfy but might just be in my head.

Other things noticed: speedo slightly more inaccurate than before...predictably though. Compared with TomTom and my speedo is always showing 10% faster than satnav.

Odometer has been affected by about +1.9%, suggesting I'm doing more miles than I have. But since over 100,000 miles it would only exaggerate to 101,900. I'm not hugely concerned about the impact on the car's resale value.

I should imagine that the cost of rectifying wouldn't be worth it.
