Any suggestions please? I'm very much a point and click photographer and only want it for this one holiday. I have an iphone 5C but it doesn't really have much memory, otherwise that would have done - unless someone can recommend a way to use that. It would be good to save me carrying more gizmos than necessary.
I just want to use the photos as memories, not anything arty, and it will mostly be scenery etc, not people.
Thanks for any advice.

You could set up a Flickr account and have your photos automatically loaded up to that if you will have access to wifi during your holiday. You can delete the photos from the phone once uploaded. I assume Apple has something similar with iCloud, but can't advise on that as I'm not an Apple user.0

Thanks. I'll be camping and wifi can be dear on campsites. I'm not entirely sure I trust myself to upload them properly either - I usually use dropbox or icloud. I'm worried I might lose the lot. You've set me thinking though, I could maybe transfer them to my hudl each day, which has an extra card so they'd be saved there. And I can treble check before deleting from my phone.
Not sure quite how but I'll work it out. Wish the iphone had a memory card slot! Thanks0 -
Maybe something like this, for £40?

Buy a really decent camera then sell it after your holiday as "unwanted gift - hardly used - still in box". Overall it should cost you less than a cheap camera (which really won't do the job, believe me).0

Don't buy a Vivitar they are rubbish. Try Argos if there is one near you and read the reviews.
Nikon, Canon, Sony, or Fuji Finepix would be ideal for you, you will have to purchase a memory card also and they are cheap.
Once the card is full, your photo's will need to be downloaded onto a PC otherwise you will lose them all possibly if you accidentally delete them all.0 -

There you go. £169. Considering you can pay £1k+ for a full dslr and lens this looks cheap to me.0 -
£169? Not quite what I had in mind for a 2 week break. Was thinking under £50, certainly no more, it's only a camera! I'd be too scared to use it at that price.
Thanks anyway, not going away till Sept so will keep looking.0 -
Argos are selling canon ixus 145 for £69.99 (they were only £49.99 last week)- but you will get the better ixus 20mp 160 or 165 as a substitute for the same price, they will tell you this when you pay at the checkout.

Why not just use the camera and buy a lightning to usb cable and a 8gb or 16gb pen drive. That way can still use the cable and pen drive after the holidayMansion TV. Avoid at all cost's :j0

Why not borrow one camera from your friends or relatives...After all, just for two weeks use. Then all u have to do is buy a memory card.Men talk of killing time, while time quietly kills them.0
