Can you try asking any of your neighbours whether they get the surface water drainage relief if they have the same sort of property as yourself?

    Hiya,

I'll ask my son to ask the people next door when he see's them next, I don't speak to people I don't know due to having possible social anxiety disorder.

Ahh ok, not sure where it leads to, it's just like a grate in the ground next to where the shed used to be.

If we can't get any joy from the neighbours I'll do as you've suggested and ask them to come out and look.

Thanks very much for the advice.

I've just filled in a leakage allowance, I worked out that the leaks were going on for almost 8 weeks and 5 weeks, so in total that's 13 weeks that pipes were leaking. I've only been here for just over 5 months lol.

I don't want to touch the water lol. As it is we have bottled water.

Cheapest bottled water is about 12p per litre.

Typical tap water price (it varies a bit around the country) is £1.50 per 1000 litres - about 0.15p (zero point one five) pence per litre.

I.e. Bottled water is around 80 times more expensive than tap water.

The water tastes nasty here and we've always had bottled water :P I never said I had bottled water because of the high bill :)

Had a reply from STW they want me to do some diagram showing the property, pipes etc. :undecided

It is the usual nonsense from ST! Unless you were present when the house was being built, you wouldn't know.

Just guess on the diagram, and when they inspect say 'someone' told you that's where they were.

I sorted the bill out, I was right, it was too high.

I gave my readings for two weeks, they worked out at me using 2 cubics per week, I applied for water leakage as well, funny thing is their customer care said I wouldn't get it, but I was awarded it, I had around £80 knocked off of the bill, the payments were dropped to £21 pm, but I had them put back up to £30 pm. So I actually now only owe £12 on the bill.

The drawing they are asking for is not complex don't worry! They don't want it to be technically correct - just an idea. Is there a drain pipe that runs along the top of your house , coming down the side and into a drain? If so you are connected for SWD. they'll just want a basic drawing of your house / roof / pipes and showing where the drain pipe goes :)
