To stop 'stealing' part of the postage which buyers pay to get their item thus leaving the seller to put it back in themselves. Still can't get my head around why they think it's okay to do that. I know some of you will say that Paypal also do that so do we actually lose it twice?
I prefer them to charge a fee on postage. It stopped most of the 1p BINs with £25+ postage listings flooding the categories. Before it was introduced, they were really getting out of hand.

Come on people, it's not difficult: lose means to be unable to find, loose means not being fixed in place. So if you have a hole in your pocket you might lose your loose change.

Odd one that because live chat saw no wrong doings with a seller than had lots of vacuums listed for 99p and £99+ postage.

Not evading fees and doing nothing wrong at all. You have to love the people on live chat.

Some comments here totally miss where Ebay should be going. The chances are that feedback for buyers will become automated (it should really just disappear). Feedback is becoming less and less important.

Ebay needs to be a site where customers are happy to buy and sellers can actively sell items with little risk of loss within Ebay/Paypal guidelines and consumer law.

Search needs to work properly and naturally.

I expect one of the new changes to be sponsored ads being rolled out. That said, I don't trust Ebay to have sponsored ads to be working properly and for them to appear in the right places.

Mine would be stopping the practice of giving you a defect if a INR case is opened. If you complain, they say it should be sent tracked. However if you are selling something for a couple of pound (with free postage) how can you send it tracked???

Also it would be nice to be able to flag up buyers with just one report triggering attention. Maybe have volunteers to review buyers who can pass on anything serious to Ebay to investigate and "educate" the buyer if necessary.

As a private seller, I get 20 free listings a month, and they generally give me two free listing weekends a month.

So that's 220 free listings, but I have to concentrate most of my activity into two 3 day periods.

I think 220 free listings is far too much for genuine private sellers.

But an allowance of 100 free listings at any starting price, spread over a whole month, would be brilliant, and more than sufficient for even the busiest private sellers having big clear outs.

With buyers, I'd like the amount of unpaid strikes against them to be made visible. I think this would be a deterant to potential non payers - no body would like to have adverse information like to to be made public.

I know we can block people with two unpaid strikes. But I'd like to extend the blocking to people who've had to have an unpaid case opened against them, even if they do subsequently pay. I'm getting fed up with late payers, who need a case opened to prompt them to pay up, with no apology. I think 48 hours is more than enough for people to pay - anything longer is rudeness!

Can't see any of this happening...... Any changes are never good for sellers.

I've noticed that, when giving feedback for sellers, I'm now asked whether or not it arrived by the predicted date. My hunch is, if the answer is 'no' this will become a defect. That will suck!

I wouldn't want to go back to that at all, negative feedback for buyers gained absolutely nothing at all and was just a bloodbath with everyone leaving poor feedback for each other tit for tat. As virtually all my business sales are BIN I don't even see the feedback of my buyers until after they buy anyway, at least now I can block people who are serial non payers.

Several things spring to mind for that. The idiot time wasters won't care, they'll actually see it as a badge of honour and carry on regardless.
The poor herbert who forgets to pay for something because his mother died won't be too chuffed at getting a bad reputation because of it. That way will lose Ebay customers.
There isn't a way of stopping non payers, anywhere, ever. Every business gets them, if you're selling on Ebay, be thankful that the buyer doesn't have the goods too!

One thing from this thread is why Ebay don't listen to sellers when making updates. There's probably some that would happily do away with customers, they make things too difficult.;)

A bit more of an idea on Jordan Sweetman's blog http://for-business.ebay.com/our-mission-clear-we%E2%80%99re-focused-you

Nothing too interesting as far as I can see. A bit more tinkering and a little bit to appease sellers. Some changes to returns, although that would refer to the US where they have far less stringent consumer law than we do.

Anything that starts off "we're focused on you" when referring to sellers does not inspire me. Ebay has spent the last 8 years weighting their focus to buyers. They aren't suddenly going to switch to the bad old days and risk losing a good part of their user base.
