does anyone know how to find this online? I'm really struggling to see the option. I have my first account open but want to open another two. thank you
    Log in.
On the left hand side you should see a large blue box labelled "our products and services"
See the "current account" link?...click it, and then click "open a current account".

I did it Online. I must say one of the most hassle-free account opening!

  • Just to confirm, these three accounts are/can be in your name only, yes? Doesn't have to be a partner, and joint account?

    So far I have

    3x Halifax Reward
    3x BoS Reward
1x BoS Vantage (opened this week as a home for the Club Lloyds money and 1x 'active' DD from each of my Tesco Savings accounts to hit the 2 required).

All are in my name only.

When required I will have ago at opening the additional 2x BoS Vantage accounts. If this is not successful I will just put the money on ratesetter at >3% instead.

I'd open the 2 BoS now- even if I hadn't got the money to fill them - in case they change the rules...

True, no harm in having them lined up just in case.

I had to call them today as I had locked myself out of the online banking and no mention was made of all the accounts I have so they dont seem to mind (or care).

I recently opened 3 off BoS Classic Vantage online in one session - just kept on 'add another current ac'.
I'd have tried a 4th but it was for my OH..
    immediately visible from memory.
Used the BoS site, as opposed to the Halifax.

Would you please where could I find info regarding BOS rewards accounts.

    I just open their website,
    http://www.bankofscotland.co.uk/bankaccounts/

Nothing mentioned about this account. Is it still open for new customers ??

    Thanks

The BoS reward account doesnt exist any more. It was removed some time ago.

You can still get it from Halifax though and all BoS and Halifax accounts appear on the online banking together (same credentials work for both banks) so if you login to Halifax you can see both Halifax and BoS accounts and vice versa.
  • Thanks everyone, good to know. ATM, I'm struggling to fill all my current (i.e. Savings) accounts, but all being well will sell my house next month, pay off what's left of the mortgage and then downsize. So I should end up with a huge wedge left over that will need distributing around as many above-average offerings as poss until I decide what to do with it in the long term. So the two extra BoS ones would be really useful - didn't even know that was doable until today...
