Are other fibre networks cheaper ?

BT are doing some reasonable deals for new customers. They wont match them for existing customers though. In fact from what i was offered it looks like they dont actually want to keep customers at all.

imagine everyone paid the same price, new customers would ask for an incentive to join, existing customers would ask for a loyalty discount. thats unsustainable for any company. Also, I would imagine you got an 'introductory offer' when you joined.

Just compare the prices for the speeds you need. Unless you have BT UHD TV and a TV that can us it, 40Mb/s downstream and 10Mb/s should suffice for 99.9% of domestic usage.

It's all (partly) delivered over fibre anyhow, the only difference is where that fibre turns into copper for the last bit into your home.
