Is 5 viewings good?

Hi all,
Property went live on Tuesday and we have an open day tomorrow with 5 viewings. Was originally 6 but one pulled out. Nobody has phoned though since my agent contacted them so I'm nervous they're only going because they were pushed. Is have hoped for some more interest off Rightmove from people seeing it?
We have done things a bit backwards and had an offer accepted on another house subject to ours selling quickly... Foolish I know but it's a house that doesn't come up often and a huge investment opportunity.
Thanks in advance,
Emma

It seems more than Phil Spencer and the weight of the telly programmes can pull in on their TV shows.0

TBH...its not about the viewings although yes that helps...you only need one person to come up with the right offer and its sold.
on the last 2 occasions we have been in this situation we needed 10 viewings on one house and one on the other to obtain the suitable asking pricefrugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!
2017 toiletries challenge 179 out 145 in ...£18.64 spend0 -
Exactly as LEJC says, it's not down to how many viewings you have, one viewing enough if they are the people who want to buy you house.
Having said that, 5 is a good start for the first weekend.
Best of luck.0 -
You are doing OK:0)
I hope you have a stampeed like us.
We did not have an open day buy the EA was showing several families around our home at once often.
It took us 20 day and 35 viewings later to find our buyer.
The waiting is :0( part. The secret to success is making very small, yet constant changes.:)0 -
Yeah, 5 sounds pretty decent. If your place is good and priced right, a decent agent ought to be able to conjure up an offer. Good luck!0

I think you mean 'stampede'. A 'stampeed' is when your viewers rush in all at once and urinate on you

I have had no viewings as of yet ....... 1 was scheduled but cancelled last minute and that's it after being on 9 days. Thankfully we are not in a hurry but I did want to be out by Christmas....0

Thanks guys!
Just worried about losing our dream home! Worried it's overpriced tbh but we shall see!0 -
We found the house we are buying when we popped out for a drive. Ended up in the show home and the rest is history.
The house we are buying is the last one and we had to put our house on the market to get it. I told the agent to market it at a price to get people in and we had six viewings. The idea is to get them all one after the other to create a sense of "grab it now".
Of the six viewings that evening we had four offers0 -
Wow that's incredible. That's what we have, 5 viewings one after the other to try and drum up panic. I'd love one offer let alone 4!0
