Camping help?

Ok so i've just decided that this weekend I want to go camping, (short notice I know), anyway I have never been camping in my life before!
I have a tent and a sleeping bag :o Will probably get one of those portable BBQ's and a stove. Does anyone have any suggestions on what else to take, we will only be going for 1 night so don't need much. Also are there places to plug in electrical items, like in the shower blocks for hair driers etc?
Thanks in advance

    In addition you should take:

A camping mat / Air bed
    Torches/lamps and batteries
    A chair perhaps
Food that doesn't need cooking (sausage rolls/pasties, choccy bar)
Water (and or water large container)
    Warm Jumper and waterproofs
Beer or find a pub nearby!
Cooking utensils : Pots Pan, knife and fork

Facilities vary greatly from site to site so you may have showers and electric sockets to plug stuff into or you might not.

    Check weather forecasts

A flippin good light that doesn't need batteries is the Cyberlight from The Cotswolds camping shops! We've got sick to death of the battery ones, they just aren't worth the money.

And they are selling the fold up chairs dead cheap in Asda and Tesco at the mo ;)

I got a great rechargable lantern from woolworths for 14.5o that can be recharged from the lighter socket in the car,

  • Dont forget a tin opener. Baby wipes are great for a quick easy wash too.
