  • i have travelled across to canada for the day many times and also for several days but it's a bit of a blur what you are asked.
    in hindsight though i'm sure you can't officially fly into the US on the visa waiver and then exit from a neighbouring country ie you would breach the VWP if you flew into NYC and then tried legally to exit into canada with the intention of flying back to the uk or re-entering the states under a new VWP ...i'm sure there's also a reciprocal agreement between the 2 countries to stop this..pprobably why they don't do anything with the card in the passport and why you only deal with canada going in and the US when returning from crossing the border ie you only have your passport stamped by the canadians ...if that makes sense
