My Journey To My Pot Of Gold

Yesterday was quite hard work in the end. The lad came to the radio and although is very quietly spoken and initially shy, he was very chatty with me during the show. Other than the confidence of actually going on air (which most people obviously feel initially), I think his only obstacle is his quiet voice. So I need to come up with a work to inject a little more energy in his speech when he's on air!
Then I sat for 2 hours with my other trainee while she did a show, and that went pretty well. I sat in the studio, but didn't talk as I know how much concentration the first few shows need.
By the end of the day I was exhausted. I had a little online chat with Mr 3rd Time Lucky so that kept me occupied for the last hour.
I stopped off for shopping on my way home and have a stock of food in again now. I only spent around £20, but bought lots! I do love savvy shopping.
I have a show to do today (on my own which will be lovely) and then I'll spend this evening just relaxing I think. My head is feeling foggy and I need to give it a chance to shift.
I hope you're all having a fantastic Saturday! Yay for weekends!!!

Good evening! Sunday evening already! Even with having Friday off work, weekends still fly by so fast!
My show went well yesterday. It was SO nice being in the studio all on my own. I put the volume up and was able to have a sing along through each track! Bliss!
Today I've not only had an NSD but I've found bits of change in bags I'm decluttering! So a little earning day. I think there's about £1.20 there, so not earth shattering, but has given me a smile!
I've also done my shop and scan so increasing the voucher pot. I need to get back onto swagbucks. I'm finding the new video set up a little harder to discreetly go through at work. So I need to find an easier way to do that and add to that.
I've managed to get rid of a lot more clutter today! So more charity shop bags and some ziffit envelopes all sitting ready to go. I'm loving this ruthless attitude I now seem to have. I stumble at times with little bits and pieces, but I've started putting those things to the side and then by the time I look at them again the emotional connection has gone and they're in the bin or charity bag.
I've got to work tomorrow, but it means I'll get Thursday off, so not a bad trade off. This week needs to be a vast improvement on last week!!!!0 -
Wow you do seem to have made great progress with the clearing ... I still have my charity bag ..lol
Hopefully not for long though as I plan to drop it off this week....
I think I only have about an evening's Decluttering left to go but I do have endless amounts of paperwork, one bedroom drawer left to declutter ( it's the worst drawer BTW ) and one kitchen cupboard to sort which is full of DIY bits mainly ..Pots of paint, old cloths, Teapots, chip fryer etc and other random bits.
Having to stop myself being totally old style by keeping and cutting up things to make other things! I could really use the kitchen space so that should be my first thing to sort.
I have brought some lovely spotty wooden hangers so once I have finally settled on my capsule wardrobe I will hang up the chosen items in an attempt to love them a bit more.
I must admit I am actually bored of the folding and clearing now so I will have to find some inspirational music to get me going....
I have just been asking myself If I got rid would I miss it ...9 times out of 10 the answer is no.
Nice for the new people at the radio to have someone like you to take away their nerves :AGrocery challenge Feb £107/£100-epic fail due to cake and biscuits

You're putting us all to shame MT :rotfl:
Love the thought of you singing along to your show - there's a lady who loves what she does :T

Hello and welcome to Wet Wednesday! It's still so warm out though!!! What is going on??
Rosa and Sam, sadly I'm not putting any of you to shame. I'm shaming myself as I have so much rubbish and clutter that it needs this constant effort now. Something wonderful triggered in me a release of emotional attachment to "things" which is making the process go much faster than it has in the past. Maria Kondo perhaps? Possibly, but also you lovely people talking about your clearing out and decluttering too!
I do love the sound of the capsule wardrobe, although that's still a bit advanced for the likes of me. So I'll continue with my clearing and wait until I'm at the point I can focus on specific areas.
Nora, you were right, I can get the BHF to come and collect my unwanted treasures. Thank you.0 -
Wednesday is here already and, as I worked on Monday, I don't have to work tomorrow! Yay to 5 day weekends!!!! I'm so lucky, I feel that on the 3rd working day of every week!
I'm also feeling quite upbeat too. Things are feeling good with Mr 3rd Time Lucky. He's home from his holiday on Sunday so we're currently working out free dates for a little get together. I'm feeling a lot like a teenager again with how our communication is going! I just hope it all goes well.
Yesterday was a very spendy day. I met my close friend J after work and went to a health bar type place. I ordered us both a large juice and it came to - £10.50!!!!! He's absolutely worth that and more, but eek! Fortunately I have an eating out budget so it just hit that. It was a fab night though. He's probably my closest friend, other than a very special cousin I have, so I always feel upbeat and good after seeing him.
Today I'm feeling incredibly lucky and blessed to have the life I do. Since making a full effort to live consciously and drop the weight out of my life (off my body but also out of my life) it's really helping me focus on the things that are special, and appreciate them more. I very much include Rosa, Sam, Nora and every other person who pops into my diary to offer condolences, support or just a general tip. Thank you all.
So, I think on that note, we need the Wednesday happy dancers: Take it away girls ......
Tonight I have a radio show to do, and I've chosen Rock 'n' Roll for tonight. Another solo show where I'll be there alone! I love having the studio to myself.
Have a fantastic hump day all!
