Hey MT, Sweden?! Wows! That sounds totally amazing, as does Hawaii! Sounds like a really good plan for the mortgage, will be reassuring as well in the long run. You are doing well with the de-cluttering, best of luck with the ebaying as well. Will pop back soon!

Wow, what a weekend it was!!!! I know we're already in to Wednesday but I literally haven't stopped since Friday morning. I even had to set my alarm for 5am most days!!!

So I think it's safe to say my focus is absolutely back on track. I had my 3 radio shows on Friday, which I have been feeling a little stressed about recently as I'd originally chosen Friday shows as it was a notoriously bad day to get people to be able to come in and do a show. Since I've started my 3 shows the studio gets packed out! There's often 6 people in there during the afternoon now and I'm not good in crowds. Especially when I'm doing a show and have lots of people in the live studio with me wanting to chat. I'm more than happy to do the 3 shows, but I loved it when it was just me in the studio getting on with my programmes.

On the plus side, it is lovely that they all like coming in to talk to me and they're really nice people (which is why I can't ask them not to come in) so I think this is just one of those areas I need to work on, which isn't a bad thing really.

Friday evening a colleague sent me a text to invite me to breakfast on Saturday morning. So I had to set an early alarm for Saturday as he likes to get out really early. It was a fabulous morning. We had breakfast on the seafront and then after we drove closer into town, still along the seafront and had a walk. Hardly anyone was out except hardened drinkers and people exercising! As we headed back we spotted the pier train so decided to have a trip up the pier. We stopped for a quick coffee and then headed back and then home again! It felt like a really special morning.

Sunday I had 2 shows to cover as the presenters were on a fun run to raise money for the radio station. I had the breakfast show, which starts off quite religious, and then I also did a show at 1pm with the station chairman. It was a great day, I really enjoyed both shows. The chairman has asked if I'll do more shows with him, which is a great compliment as he's not one to mix well with people generally.

Monday was all about clearing out and pushing forward house sales and yesterday I was in a training course all day with work.

So that's my goings on updated. I hardly spent any money too, which was good, but I'll update finances in the next post.

Hello Rosa. Thank you for joining the ladies in their dancing. They always welcome new members to the group. :D

Jodles, sadly I didn't get a chance to ebay this weekend, so it's still on my to do list!

So, the finances are now back in order. I've decided to now fully commit to only spending money on specific improvements, whether that be for me or for my current house. Otherwise I want to save every penny I can for a hopefully impending move.

With this in mind, and after such a lovely trip out on Saturday morning, I have decided to focus my energies away from money and more onto things that thrill me without costing money. This is because the last 2 weekends I've had probably the best days out, and neither of those cost me anything but the journey there. I love being outside in nature, and watching the world go by and that's what I'm going to focus on spending time doing.

I have also signed up for an assault course type of race in September this year and May next year. I am so far away from being ready to even run up the stairs if my life depended on it that I need to get in some serious training. I am lucky that where I live has a beautiful nature reserve nearby where I can go for a run and also take my bike for a ride around, and there's no cost to get in. So more early alarms at weekends for me to get out and make the most of the peace and quiet while getting in free exercise.

For weight type training I have those resistance bands at home, which don't take up much space, so I'm going to plan out some exercises with those that I may also be brave enough to do in a quiet part of the nature reserve as they're so small and weigh virtually nothing and so are easy to transport around with me. YouTube really is my best friend these days. muscular.gif

Plus, I can drive up to the seafront some mornings and have a quiet walk or run for some training (I can't run yet, but at least want to put time aside for regular exercise now). I can also head up to the seafront just with a nice drink and good book and sit near or on the seafront having a little read if I'm having a rest day. I can do this with the nature reserve too.

I'm also a member of the National Trust which offers free days out with free parking too, so I'll have a look and see what I can find there.

Just without really thinking hard, there are some free things easily accessible to me which take my mind away from shops and money and show me that life is just beautiful. I don't want to think of these things as "free" as I don't want those activities to have anything to do with money. I want my mindset to be away from finances for those times, other than if I make plans for the future while sitting quietly. 13.gif

So, I will keep this diary updated on my plans.

I've sorted out most of my food details now too. I love this time of year. It's so inspiring and motivating.

Taking in consideration all of the above, and the fact that we're here at another hump day, here are "The Ladies, possibly including Rosa"...

I hope everyone is having a fantastic week.

    Happy Hump Day all.

A beautiful post. I especially like the bits about nature. You are right. I feel better when I am in nature too. Your post reminded me of that. Thank you MT x

Ps, you seem so well placed geographically in relation to nature, perhaps nature and access to it could be part of your criteria when selecting your new home? Although you've probably thought of this...

Happy hump day MT *pants, having just detached from can-can line*

You're doing fantastically well with the radio shows - that's great news. I can see what you mean about having more of a crowd around but it is lovely that they want to join you. If this is something you do want to change, might it work to eg suggest people drop by for coffee when you finish, instead?

I'm a little green that you live by the sea. This is definitely on my list - and I too need to spend more time outdoors.

    Hello DIA,
When I think about it, I am very well placed for the nature reserve and the beach is only a straightforward (once the roadworks are finished) 40 minute drive away. It's surprising that I've never really considered these things before now.

Hello Rosa. I don't live right by the sea but it's a straight drive down an A road to get me there, which is rarely a hassle if I leave early enough.

The people who come in to see me at the radio for a chat are generally on their way home from somewhere or to somewhere so popping in when they do fits in with their plans. However, I have decided to be happy about the fact they want to come and see me and plan my shows more so that I don't need that thinking time during songs.
