My daughter (21 months) loves The Wheel On the Bus and always starts dancing whenever she sees a bus. She also likes If You Are Happy and You Know It.0

We went to a music group when my DD was little. Her favourites were the action songs and included:
- five little speckled frogs
- old macDonald
- dingle dangle scarecrow
- wheels on the bus
- three blind mice
- wind the bobbin up
- i am the music man
- Wheels on the bus
- head, shoulders, knees and toes
A lot of these have been done by the Tweenies, so wouldn't be surprised if you could find them on Youtube2021 - mission declutter and clean - 0/20210 -
I have been taking my two granddaughters to a Rhyme Time session free at the local library for seven years! That is first one child then she went to school by which time another had arrived.
I feel I have earned a Master's Degree in popular rhymes. Current favs are Teddy Plays on the Swing and The Scarecrow Song.
No 2 is going to school in September so I am hanging up my singing hat!0 -
my youngest gd is 8 months now and her favourite rhymes are Clap Hands Clap hands til daddy comes home, Row Row Row your Boat, Twinkle Twinkle little star, The wheels on the bus, Humpty Dumpty and Incy Wincy Spider. She can clap hands and she grabs mine to 'row' her down the stream. oh and she loves 'Legover Legover fox went to dover'.0

Am I the only mother who doesn't know how "Wind the Bobbin Up" goes?
Struggling with hearing the spoken voice, Andrew isn't into nursery rhymes. He does love listening to classic rock though - Smoke on the Water is immediately recognised by its introduction!:heartpuls Mrs Marleyboy :heartpuls

Everyone grumbled. The sky was grey.
We had nothing to do and nothing to say.
We were nearing the end of a dismal day,
And there seemed to be nothing beyond,
THEN
Daddy fell into the pond!
And everyone's face grew merry and bright,
And Timothy danced for sheer delight.
"Give me the camera, quick, oh quick!
He's crawling out of the duckweed."
Click!
Then the gardener suddenly slapped his knee,
And doubled up, shaking silently,
And the ducks all quacked as if they were daft
And it sounded as if the old drake laughed.
O, there wasn't a thing that didn't respond

The loveliest version of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star that I've ever heard is by Super Simple Songs (have a look on youtube.) Enchanting.
I think it's on half a billion views now.
I just love it, even though the grandchildren have now well outgrown it!“All shall be well, and all shall be well and all manner of thing shall be well.”0 -
Serendipitious, I think I must have contributed to about a million of those clicks. My DD watched this on repeat from about 4 months old!
What with rhyme time and various other classes, nursery, pre-school etc I think I know every nursery rhyme in the book. She's off to school in September and I will certainly be glad if I never hear "Wheels on the Bus" again in my life!!!We Made-it-3 on 28/01/11 with birth of our gorgeous DD.0 -
Hot cross buns.
Not sure the LO takes much advice when it comes to monkeys jumping on the bed, but she seems to like it all the sameValue-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!
"No man is worth, crawling on the earth"- adapted from Bob Crewe and Bob Gaudio
Hope is not a strategy...A child is for life, not just 18 years....Don't get me started on the NHS, because you won't win...I love chaz-ing!
