Hi I have just found some argos gift vouchers loitering in the garage, you say that there is an expiry date on them, could you tell me whereabouts to look as I cannot see one anywhere. Thank you

only promotional gift vouchers and new electronic gift vouchers have dates on the as far as im aware.

the old paper vouchers would have the date stamped clearly on the front. if this is not the case, and there is no mention of an expiry date on the reverse of the voucher, then they should be accepted no problem.

if they are the electronic gift card, the date should be printed on the reverse of the card (the side with the magnetic strip)

    14. when reserving items, especially items which are both on promotion and out of stock, it is very important that you are aware of the fact that the price you pay is the price in store on the day you PAY FOR AND COLLECT the item, irrespective of what it might have been when you reserved the item. this might mean that by the time your item comes into stock, the promo may have ended and the price returned to normal. make sure you check those dates!
Hmmm think you'l find that in fact they do honour the price the item was when it was reserved BUT...its not something they actively promote, only to be usued if a customer questions the price etc

yes crazyloon, that has changed since i wrote this. you must have proof of your reservation however, and it still falls largely to management discretion as to whether they will honour the lower price or not.

If you are making a large purchase of more than £100 you can buy gift vouchers elsewhere with a discount. For example at https://www.mbna.co.uk/lifestyle you can save 8% on vouchers when using their credit card. Of course you have to wait for the vouchers but it may be worth if for buying a higher value item such as a tv.

Made do with shopping through nectar e-stores and collecting some nectar points instead(better than nothing):)
