  • Thankyou yes as I thought we will lose 2500, seems really harsh but it's happening so best get on with things! Can't believe how much money us working family's are set to lose, they claim to be a working family's government but are taking thousands from us 😕
  • Please could you work out how much a colleague of mine will get in tax credits next year. Lone parent, one child, works 21 hours a week and earns £13,800.

    Thanks
  • Hi, please could some one help me calculate what tax credits I will be entitled to from April 2016? By then I will be a single parent working 30+ hours a week, earning £19000 per year, 2 children (one in college) one in school with childcare costs of £35 per week. Thank you.
  • Hi I'd be really grateful if someone could tell me how much I can expect to lose. Maths isn't a strong point so I can't work it out myself. I'm a single parent with 2 children. I work 21 hours and earn £12'000. I can't work full time due to health problems but don't meet the criteria to claim either ESA or PIP. I can't increase my hours at work (I work for a charity and there isn't funding for extra hours). Thanks in advance.
  • Hi Everyone I'm really new to all this, had a good few nights of not sleeping trawling through all the info I can find on tax credits trying to work out how much I will be worse off, with no luck
I have a little boy who will go to school next year, I work 18 hours and will earn approx 10,196 in 2016/17 when my little boy goes to school I won't have childcare costs can anyone give me a rough idea of what I will lose I'd be so so grateful and might get a sleep lol
    thanks x

    IQ
  • Can someone tell me how will these cuts affect me.

    I have 2 children aged 7 & 4 I'm married and work full time 37.5 hours a week,my wife doesn't work and I earn £16051 a year,what can I expect to get from both working & child tax credits in 2016.

    Many thanks people.
  • So basically as a family we are going to be £1904 a year worst off thats £58.66 a month as always with a Tory government the rich get richer and the poor get poorer oh well only another 4 and half years of this current government left.
  • Blondebubbles, would you be able to work your magic and calculate what you think I should be getting in Child Tax Credits this year; and after April 2016?
I work full time and earn £32,600, my wife 7 hrs per week self employed and earns £200pa (after pension contributions of £1700pa). So combined household income of £32,800. We have 3 children under 16 (2,9 &12). No childcare costs. I've looked at the IQs link already given but just wanted to double check. Thanks 4 any help!

or maybe your wife can return to work and increase your income. That's what many of the 'rich' people do.
