I have read that I will lose about £1,600 next year.
I think it will be more as my earnings this year are about £14,000.i am one adult with 2 qualifying kids, one receives higher rate care DLA, low rate mobility.
I work 36 hrs per week and pay £20 per week childcare
Do you know an approx. figure I might get?
  • Can anyone help me work out my situation?

I have two children (5 and 6) and I work 20 hours a week on minimum wage...I'm a single mum and panicking a bit like everyone else

    Thanks in advance
  • I'm 33, turn 34 in September 2016
  • Thanks for your reply....is that £8328 what I'd get based on new system with cuts, or based on current system? (I get approx £197 a week under current system/current wage)

I work school hours at present to reduce my reliance on childcare to school holidays (no nearby family help unfortunately it I'd utilise that).... But upping my hours may well be something I need to look at doing next year
  • Yes that was what I was asking, as just having a moment ha.... Thanks so much for your reply/help

maybe you could look at getting a part time job, given the ages of your children?
  • Hi Blonde bubbles

Just wondering if you could please clarify for me what I think I already know but just to be sure?! I work 12 hours earning 4500, my husband works 42 earning 21060, we have two children aged 12 and 7. Am I correct in thinking we are set to lose £2500?

    Thankyou
