I think that is unlikely - when an address on Amazon is changed, the new address cannot be used until the credit card details are re-confirmed for that new address.
You don't need to change the account address, just where an item is being delivered. A new address would need confirming, but other addresses that have had deliveries in the past could be delivered to quite easily, just by using the account.
It isn't easy to do without any information but if you place an order with Amazon you have until the order is confirmed as dispatched to change the delivery address. Adding a new one will take you to a security check, using an existing one will not.
I think I have about a dozen different addresses for delivery on my Amazon account, mostly used at Christmas time for sending gifts to. Only my own address has a registered credit card.
I only noticed that the thread on missing parcels and changed email address were from the same person and wondered if OP had considered that possibility. With my comments above it may make a penny drop and realise what has happened or just be coincidence.

I've had several items go missing as well recently, never a problem before. I've emailed rm to let them know.

It's a pita because i order quite a bit and having it not turn up is causing problems.
  • Christ - that is really quite a terrifying prospect.

I have had a think and all the parcels that went walkies were not purchased on my laptop but on my phone. One of them is a subscription box which has since shown up.

I think it's probably a good idea to have a deep clean of my laptop anyway as it's been a while since I've done it.

That really is a terrifying idea though

You can double check the addresses items were sent to in Amazon. Just go to "my account" and "orders" and click on each one to see more details.
