I was hoping that you would should some light on this! Tomorrow morning is depot time

I'm afraid I read "UNI" and suspect that although you think you changed your address at payment, you didn't.
Ask the seller what address they sent to.
I have lost count of the amount of buyers that swear blind they changed their address but somehow I found there old address, aunty Mabel's etc.....where do they think I managed to find THEIR out of date address?0 -

I've already checked the addresses because I have been known to put the wrong address
so that was my first port of call.
Also in the community that I buy and sell in a lot, it's common practice to confirm the address by private message before it gets posted out!
I went to the depot and was told that as it's not been long enough for most of the missing parcels to be officially considered missing, there's not much they can do! So I suppose I'll be going back in a week or two...Undergrad law student. Take my advice with a pinch of salt! :rotfl:0 -
I would push further on this. 40% of Royal Mail goods gone AWOL, empty envelope arrived... sounds like a real big problem directly related to your postman/sorting office. Suggest you collate the information and speak to Head Office. Please do not quote spam as this enables it to 'live on' once the spam post is removed.

If you quote me, don't forget the capital 'M'

The seller is insisting that I'm the one who has to make the claim but afaik I can't make a claim with RM seeing as I don't have a contract with them, being the receiver and not the sender of the mail. Is that correct?
With Royal Mail, either the sender or recipient can make a claim.0 -

While true in theory, the postage loss form is very much geared up to the sender.
The recipient is unable to answer most of the questions - for example post service used, cost of postage, post office used, date it was sent, and sellers address are details realistically only a sender would know.
It would not surprise me if due to the lack of available info, a claim from a recipient would more likely fail.0 -
If these are items purchased on Amazon, have you considered the possibility that whoever changed your email address also changed your physical address so goods are being sent elsewhere?.0

I think you may have made a really good point there, to have a hacker changing email addresses on one site, and to have missing parcels from elsewhere sounds like there could be a problem with email and payments etc.
OP, as per your other thread here

this might indicate you have a serious hacker- someone who has not hit and run, but has access to your accounts and is hiding evidence they are still there. A one off hack will leave a trail, but if the hacker deliberately targeted a weak link, or worse case scenario, actually knows you- then they could have been deleting any messages sent and even diverting things to themselves.
You mention uni, it is not uncommon for there to be some serious hackers there. I would suggest a very deep clean of your laptop- ask on the techie board, then change every password and log in you have used. Someone may well have diverted items to themselves.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I think that is unlikely - when an address on Amazon is changed, the new address cannot be used until the credit card details are re-confirmed for that new address.
If someone has access to the card too, then this person will be very close to home.0 -

That would be my worry, not a random hacker but someone with a bit of personal knowledge.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
