Dont really know if this is the place to post this, just need a bit of an idea from as many people as possible:
How much do you spend on gas, water and electric every month? I have just bought a house and am wanting other peoples information so that i can get a view not just of my families expenditure?
Which companies would you recommend?
Thanks

Hello!
I live in a 2 bed terrace with my hubby & 6-month-old daughter. We spend £45 per month on electricity, £5 per month on gas (both with NPower, The gas bill is so low because we only have a gas hob!!) and £15.50 per month on our water bill - we are metered.
we are both very much conscious of energy conservation so avoid wastage wherever possible, always using energy saving bulbs, turning off lights, keeping heating off as much as possible & always buying energy efficiency A-rated appliances etc etc.
NPower are pretty good because they offer £80 cash back if you pay for both gas & electricity via direct debit with them - they also provide a green energy option that doesn't cost any more than their normal energy supply - they purchase the equivalent of your usage from green sources. Never had any problems with them at least but others may have I guess!

I live in a 3 bed semi and use £40 gas £40 electricity and £30 water. This is averaged out throughout the year as although in summer I may only use £5 worth of gas in winter I use LOADS as my central heating system is ancient and the house is 200 years old. The electric is high because I cook with it as there's no gas in my kitchen. All in all my bills are huge

3/4 bed detached, 2 adults, 2 young kids, monthly costs:-
£43 electricity (used for cooking as well) southern electric
£22 gas (heating and hot water) southern electric
£28 water (southern electric) on water meter
These are the true values after being in for 1 year.0 -
