Adobe Flash & Firefox?

Cannot watch any videos\clips etc anymore on the BBC, etc. Comes up with "Adobe needs updating" but when I check under Add-ons and click to update Shockwave (presume thats Adobe?), Firefox blocks it. So how do I get videos to work again please?
Firefox version is 39.0 and the Shockwave Flash is 17.0.0.191 if thats of any help

Firefox blocks it, because "Adobe needs updating". Plugins are different from addons. Get a newer version here

  • thanks, but I've now found out how to check plugins via Mozilla.org and it says Adobe is up to date! However, just seen another later post about Firefox and Adobe problems - maybe I should download chrome

yes this is the post I found - and strangely I now seem to be able to see video clips via Firefox, so no need for Chrome:T
