Flash player and Firefox

Just read on BBC news that Firefox has blocked Adobe Flash Player due to hackers. I have noticed for the past couple of days that I keep getting messages saying that Firefox has blocked Adobe Flash Player from running. I did manage to get it to update but then I saw the message again.

Just in case this is affecting anyone.

Not half as much as Adobe's woefully written offerings, roll on HTML 5.

The icing on the cake, font parsing in the Kernel:

However this is really a fundamental design flaw in Windows to do font parsing in Kernel space.
Science isn't exact, it's only confidence within limits.

Ah so this is what's been going on, I update flash and 2 days later Firefox doesn't like it, rinse/repeat, it's been going on for several weeks now.

    Thank you.

I thought my lappy was getting too old to cope with the new software.

I got the block this morning for the first time.

There are a number of games on Facebook that will not load on Firefox, I have to go to IE to play.

My computer is running so much faster since Firefox starting blocking Flash, I love it.
I also have stopped getting the flash has crashed message all of the time now.

Can anyone recommend an alternative Flash player plug-in for Firefox?

i have been noticing this, you have to allow the adobe to run which is annoying if you are on a site with flash like videos, it's just a pita.

I think it has pushed me to using chrome more now.

The new update is out. Update the plug-in to the latest version. FF now accepting it.
