Easy Jet not responding to compensation request

Afternoon.

A few months ago I bought 2x return tickets from London to Jersey. On the return back I the aircraft developed a mechanical fault and we was unable to take off.

An emergency aircraft was arranged but arranged by Easy Jet which took off almost 4 hours after the original flight.

On the 26th of June I sent Easy Jet an email explaining the situation so we could arrange compensation. I did this through the contact form on their website. Unfortunately I have not received a reply. I have since sent two more emails threatening to take legal action and still radio silence.

How should I proceed from here?

Worth also checking arrival time of the plane as it is that that counts and not the departure (perfectly possible to make up some time)
When did you first contact Easyjet (you state 26th July which is obviously incorrect) If you meant June I would wait until 30 days then issue NBA
you say you have threatened legal action so surely you have answered your own question about the next step

    Hello. Yes I meant June.

They finally got back to me this morning after 4 weeks. The amount of follow up emails they ignored is ridiculous.

They had admitted liability. They said "5th March was delayed by 4 hours and 12 minutes due to a technical issue with the aircraft. Therefore you are eligible for 250EUR compensation per passenger".

Is 250 Euro the normal level of compensation or am I entitled to any more?

If you read the link provided all will be revealed - it is a fixed compensation amount based on distance
If you want more you can check your travel insurance policy but many of them only kick in at 12 hours delay and are often for amounts such as £20 per 12 hours

I read the it after I posted. Distance wise Jersey to London falls at 250 Euro so everything is good.:T

Glad I went for the compensation because back in March when the delay happened I was actually going to leave it be. :j

    Thanks for your help
